Preactik for meetings
When a meeting moves quickly, it is easy to miss a detail while writing down the last one. Preactik is being built to keep the conversation in view, with Google Meet transcription and a Live Help preview.
The everyday friction
Who agreed to the change? Was that a deadline or a suggestion? Which concern still needs an answer? A page of rushed notes can leave a team with different memories of the same conversation.
A familiar scenario
A project check-in changes direction halfway through. The team discusses a smaller launch, but nobody confirms who will approve the reduced scope. A transcript gives you something concrete to review before you send the recap.
Put it into practice
Agree on the decision you need to make. Let participants know how you plan to use transcription or assistance.
Follow the transcript as you listen. In the Live Help preview, use suggested responses as prompts for your own judgment.
Export the captured transcript before closing. Review the relevant lines and write down the decision, owner, deadline, and any open question.
Small changes that matter
“We could launch on Friday” is a proposal. Ask whether Friday is an agreed date before treating it as a commitment.
A next step without a named owner often becomes another meeting. Confirm the person responsible while everyone is still present.
If a requirement is unclear, keep it as an open question. A tidy recap should not turn an unresolved point into an agreement.
Know the preview’s boundaries. Google Meet in desktop Chrome is the current focus. Live Help is in preview; automatic summaries, cloud transcript history, and workflow integrations are planned. Check availability →
