What is Preactik?
Preactik is a browser-based meeting copilot being built for Google Meet. It combines live transcription with a Live Help preview, designed to help you follow the conversation and respond with more context.
Which meeting platforms does it support?
The current focus is Google Meet in desktop Chrome. Microsoft Teams and Zoom are planned, with no announced release date. Check product availability before choosing Preactik for your workflow.
Does a bot join the meeting?
Preactik’s browser extension works alongside your Google Meet session without adding a separate bot participant. Let everyone know when you use transcription or AI assistance and follow the rules that apply to your meeting.
Can I use it for interviews?
You can explore Preactik for mock interviews, practice sessions, and interview conversations where assistance is permitted. For a live hiring assessment, follow the employer’s rules and obtain permission before using transcription or AI assistance.
Is Preactik publicly available?
Preactik is in development. Live Help is a preview, and access depends on the current app release and account availability. Public plans and pricing have not been announced.
Are transcripts automatically saved to the cloud?
Do not assume transcripts are saved automatically. Full transcript cloud saving and a searchable meeting library are planned. In the current preview, export the transcript before closing the meeting.
Are AI answers always correct?
No. Live Help can misunderstand context or produce an incorrect answer. It does not provide live web verification. Review suggestions before using them, especially names, numbers, commitments, and factual claims.
How much will Preactik cost?
Pricing is coming soon. Paid plans, usage allowances, billing terms, and any free trial will be published once confirmed. This website does not accept payments.
